The best reason to be vegetarian is because most modern farming methods are disgusting and cruel to animals. If you must eat meat, go for free-range or organic (the animals live happier lives and are killed more kindly).

Meat eating also makes the problem of poverty worse.

good video; very insightful and informative. I myself am a newly converted vegetarian; it’s been a week and I agree with the no hunger thing. I still eat eggs/dairy products, maybe I’ll go vegan in the future, maybe not. What made me think was seeing the film: Fast Food Nation, not only the environmental effects, the cruelty to factory farmed animals, but human rights issues; the movie and book really opened my eyes. It’s pathetic and sad.

I love you xD
My mom won’t let me be a vegetarian because she believes that you need meat to survive =/
I’m still trying to convince her because I don’t want to have to eat meat until I move out.

Your mom thinks you need meat to “survive”? The majority of the world’s population are vegetarians (because they can’t afford meat).

she won’t let you? who cares. be your own person and stand up for what you believe in. she doesn’t like it? too bad. my mom wasn’t all for it at first either, but now she doesn’t mind. you do not need meat to survive. you can get everything you need to stay healthy from other foods. vegetarian/vegan is way healthier anyway.

tru that. love the sushi. i get one with cream cheese, avocado and artichoke inside and mango on top and this kind of drizzle with nuts.. at this one restaurant here..it’s insanely good!

Does your mama know that you can get protein (typically found in meat), through beans, nuts, and soy. The only vitamin that we can’t get from being a vegetarian is I believe it was b12, but all you got to do to get that certain vitamin is go out into the sun, the suns rays will provide you with b12. You don’t need to eat meat to survive.

Vegetarianism is a gift. I recently became a vegetarian about a year and a half ago. What made me change my mind is how their killing animals over in china, skinning and boiling dogs and cats alive. Then I started doing research on how other animals were killed, I was horrified at the results from the research I brought up. Animals being tortured to death, electricuted, drown, hung up from their legs and getting their throats slit. I just can’t do it, knowing how they suffer.

andrea20k on February 12, 2009 at 3:41 am #

This is very much true.

i’m a vegetarian because i think that animals don’t need to be slaughtered brutally just so we can have a hamburger.
and guess what?
it’s not that hard!
cuz if you know that these innocent animals are being torchured FOR MEAT, then it’s not that bad!
this video speaks the truth and there’s no way around that.

YummyCoockie on May 14, 2009 at 7:00 am #

i’m a vegetarian, because i don’t want an animal to be killed just so i could put a piece of meat in my mouth)))
I love your videos)))
