Hello, I am a vegetarian but I feel I am not eating right and instead of substituting meat with healthy alternatives I am just eating junk.
What kind of thing should I be eating ?
And if you have any recipe websites I’d be most grateful. Thanks.

It’s not that complicated we just replace the meat in our diets with: beans, peas, nuts, seeds and whole grains. Many vegetarians use dairy and eggs for protein too.

well i’ve been a vegi all my life and i eat a range of things,
pulses (all kinds of beans)
veggies (obv!)
fruit
**quorn (and other meat substitutes) are good for you too
junks ok as long as you don’t eat too much of it:):)

**hence how you get vegetarian burgers etc

as for websites……i’ll have to come back to you on that one :)

Tofu, soy milk, protein bars all help with your diet. Quit eating the junk. Being a veg head means spending more money and taking more time to fix your own meals.

you should make sure you are getting enough protein!
i eat Morningstar Brand foods..they are in the freezer isle. they make high protein, soy foods that are delicious!!!! like chicken nuggets, corn dogs, ribs and they taste like the real thing, but they are made from soy….if you worry about getting enough iron, then just take a iron supplement.
