Can they or healthily can they eat less? Also is it safe and healthy to live a vegan lifestyle like only having fruit, veg, soup etc while your growing(teenager). Thanks!
or is it safer to be a vegetarian considering im still growing. I am not really a big fan of meat, chicken or fish so it isn't very hard for me. How many calories would you need being a vegetarian?
Your calorie needs depend on your sex, weight, height, activity level etc. You can not be a healthy vegan by just eating plants, you need some serious protein from beans and soy products and should take a daily multivitamin and maybe some extra calcium. Drink soy milk and snack on nuts. I was vegan for about 2 years, you just have to make sure you're getting all the nutrients your body needs.
