I'm about to graduate from college. This summer I'm working overseas for a study abroad program. I'm trying to lose some weight before I go. I'm doing some aerobics to get my body prepared for the P90X workout. Here is what I'm asking. Will a vegetarian diet help me lose weight effectively. The only meat I eat is tuna. Other than that, I consume eggs, milk, beans, or peanut butter for my protein source.
I was recently put on a high protein- meat eating diet because of my Anemia.
I am afraid I will be gaining weight since I had been a raw vegan for several months prior. I don't know how to control this fear; my entire day revolves around the calorie intake I take in now, and if it has fat, sugar, and what not. It's really frustrating.
Can someone give me some healthy eating tips eating normal food? So I can still lose weight?
How often should I eat?
Thanks for the help!
I'll be going to college soon and I am overweight. While most people gain weight when they go to college, I'm nearly ashamed of eating in public so I'm hoping it will be a great opportunity to lose weight. I will probably make breakfast in the morning but my other 2 meals will be from dining halls. I was wondering if anyone knew a good vegetarian diet that would help me lose weight quickly without requiring I go to the grocery store often and buy ridiculous and expensive natural products.

I'm six foot three inch, 235 pounds and I've gained about ten pounds of muscle mass from January but I've recently began an exclusive vegetarian diet. I need to replace the chicken and fish that were in the diet, looking for about three thousand calories a day. Any suggestions would be very helpful, many thanks in advance.
My friend, who is a girl, she is very skinny and anemic
She hasnt gotten her period in a few months, and shes lost any desire for sex, and shes having emotional problems lately, could her being anemic, and then suddenly becoming a vegan, do this to her?
I am 28 years old and have been a vegetarian for half my life. I eat dairy, but no meat. I am thinking about adding fish back into my diet, mainly for health reasons. Does anybody have any suggestions on how I should do this and what type of fish I should start with?

Most people new to the idea of colon cleansing for good health, are turned off by the idea of doing an enema or colon irrigation. So they look for alternative methods to cleaning their colon, and one of the most natural colon cleansing methods they discover is food.
Food is one of the best techniques to use for cleansing your colon. Now, there are several approaches to using food for colon cleansing, so we’ll look at a couple of those here.
First: The lack of food can help cleanse your colon. Technically this is called a fast, or a body detox technique. To use this type of colon cleanse you’d just go on a diet of just juices for about a week. Juice fasts can last for two to three weeks if you’d like though, and many people use them for both detoxing their body and losing unwanted body weight.
You can do a juice fast with either vegetable or fruit juices. Diabetics might need to add water to fruit juices though, because sometimes that’s too much sugar.
Not everyone can handle going without solid food for a week or more though, so that brings us to our primary colon cleansing method:
Food. Yes, real, solid food that will fill your stomach.
The best types of foods to eat which will help your colon cleanse itself gently and naturally, are high in fiber.
Whole grain and bran cereals for instance, are an excellent way to get extra fiber into your diet and help cleanse your colon. You may want to try adding flaxseed to your breakfast for even better results.
Anything green and leafy is another excellent source for helping to cleanse the colon. Try eating plenty of vegetables such as spinach, broccoli, and various salad greens.
One of the best foods for helping you cleanse your colon though, is fruit. Blackberries for instance, have a whopping eight grams of fiber per cup, and all that extra fiber does a wonderful job of cleansing your colon. Prunes and prune juice are also excellent foods to use for cleansing your colon, and just about any other type of fruit or fruit juice which usually makes you have a good bowel movement will work as well.
The whole point of cleansing your colon naturally using food, is to increase your body’s waste elimination process for several days at the minimum. You want to force your body to start flushing out the solid waste materials, so that it’s also carrying the toxins and bacteria out of your body more quickly too.
